Sage Bionetworks Launches "Share the Journey" iPhone App to Study Breast Cancer
A unique iPhone (News - Alert) app introduced in March 2015 is the basis for a research study that will allow participants and researchers to create better, more effective strategies to enhance breast cancer patients' quality of life. This new app can help women track the physical, mental, and emotional after-effects of breast cancer treatment. Using iPhone sensors and participant surveys, the Share the Journey: Mind, Body, and Wellness after Breast Cancer app tracks five common issues related to breast cancer treatment: fatigue, cognitive difficulties, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and reduction in exercise performance.
